MEMORIALS TRIBUTE TO PAMELA J. VAN SWOL By - KRISTI EHLERT WE’RE 0ME HECK OF A PAIR” Oh, auch a Eong -tome now, the tun won't thine, All oven, the lott of a fniend of, mine. I lie down to tleep to eate the lott in my mind, But the dneamt that I dneam make my memoniet unwind. Oun dneamt, oun happinett, the tad timet we thaned, We've laughed, we've cnied, WE WERE OWE HECK OF A PAIR. We've talked fon hount, complaining nothing wat fain, She neven knew how much we did cane. Why wene oun dneamt to quickly taken away? Oun dneamt of tnavel, guyt, and big money tomeday. All the wondt in the wonld, whatever anyone might tay, Could even convince me, that oun dneamt will jutt lay. How evenything I've teen in my dneamt hat come clean, My dneamt ane only dneamt, but my memoniet ane hene, We’ll laugh again Pam, the old timet we'll thane, We’ll be back togethen again, WE'RE ONE HECK OF A PAIR.... This past year, two people who influenced many student's lives passed away. Mrs. Ann Thurston died of cancer in July, and Mr. Richard Hoot Thompson died of a heart at- tack in December. Mrs. Thurston was a physical education teacher for many years, and later she was a substitute teacher in the Junior High and Sen- ior High schools. Mrs. Thurston showed her kindness in every way and was always willing to be of assistance to others. Mr. Thompson was well known for being involved with the TIMES as well as being an avid sports lover. Mr. Thompson and his wife ( Ally ) were awarded the Sports Fan of the Year trophy in 1980 by the Pardeeville High School. The deaths of Mrs. Thurston and Mr. Thompson have saddened the lives of many people in the school and the community. They will always be remembered for what they achieved within their lifetime. 2

Largely through Mr. Forbes' efforts, the students at Pardeeville receive a high quality education that produces responsible adults. His genuine interest in extracurricular and educational activities is greatly appreciated by all students. In the eleven years that Mr. Forbes has been here, he has initiated many new ideas. These ideas have altered the way we think, the methods we are taught by, and the things we learn. It is an honor to have in our school someone who is concerned and willing to make changes for the benefit of the students — past, present and future. It is difficult for us to comprehend the full extent of what Mr. Forbes has ac- complished for our class since we were in the first grade. For all you have done, Mr. Forbes, we sincerely thank you.
