DEDICATION We dedicate this yearbook to the under- classmen of Pardeeville High School. May they strive to equal or even excell us in our scholastic accomplishments. It is our desire that they continue and reach this temp- orary goal — graduation from high school. When we say temporary goal, we mean just that — for we feel that we are not at the' top, but still climbing. Class of '79 MEMORIALS Early in the school year, Dolores Sommers, a retired Pardeeville elementary teacher, passed away. She was an outstanding teach- er and also was a musician who gave music lessons to many Pardeeville citizens. Mrs. Sommers was very active in church and school organizations. Later in the year, the community was shock- ed again when they heard of the death of Merwyn Smith. Mr. Smith, a Pardeeville busi- nessman, was a staunch supporter of all school, church, and community activities. He was business manager of the '49 Whisper and largely through his efforts the '49 annual was the first cloth bound yearbook in the history of Pardeeville High School; later when he be- came a businessman, he continued to support the Whisper by becoming an advertiser. These two individuals have made an im- pact upon the lives of many students and have helped to make Pardeeville a better place ir. which to live. A void has been left in the com- munity which will not soon be filled. 3
