CHORUS The 1978-1979 P.H.S. Chorus had a very exciting and successful season. The Winter Concert, held on December 12, was one of the exceptionally well-performed concerts given at Pardeeville. The Senior Double Trio performed at the concert and did a great job. They continued later that spring to be awarded first place in class A competition at the state Solo-Ensemble competition at Whitewater. All-Conference chorus was held January 27, at Rio. Considering that it was a combination of all the Conference choirs, it turned out to be quite a success. Some of the students participated in the Solo-Ensemble Contest held at Westfield on March 3. The Spring Concert Festival was held at Poynette, May 12. A Pop Concert was held at the end of April, followed by the Spring Concert which was given in May. The Chorus ended the year by singing at the commencement ceremonies. The chorus had two student interns from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Miss Pen- rose was here for the first semester and Miss Mansheim was here for second semester. The choir would like to thank them both for the time, effort and patience they showed toward the students, and they wish them luck with their future plans. 28 INTERNS—Patricia Penrose, Dorothy Mansheim.
