Baumgart- ner, I. Landsverk, D. Haberkorn, R. Herold, D. Houk, B Trahan, B. Kearns. F.F.A. On November 2, the annual Hay and Grain show was held. The over-all champion was Linda Landsverk. The runner-up was fresh- man Jim Landsverk; Jim also was top freshman in exhibiting. Mark Barden won five championship rib- bons and two trophies. No one has ever won more than three at one show; he also added to the ribbons and trophies, the top Crop Judging honors and set a new record by placing three classes correctly and missing only one. For the first time trophies were presented to the top exhibitor in each school grade, they were: Jim Landsverk for the Freshman; Mark Barden, Sophomore; Mike Malisch, Juniors; and for the Seniors it was Steve McElroy. Grand champion ribbons in the show were as follows: Hay, Mark Landsverk, Steve Mc- Elroy; Top Corn Yield, Tom Heaps; Apples, Doug DiBell; Ear Corn, Mark Barden; Shelled Corn, Mark Barden, Ed Baumgartner; Oats, Mark Barden; Potatoes, Jon Kreger; Vegeta- bles, Jim Landsverk. Tim Hamilton and Ed Baumgartner attended the National FFA Convention held at Kansas City, Missouri, November 7-11. They attended a lot of meetings and did some sight-seeing. Ed also had the privilege of shaking the Presi- dent's hand during one of the meetings.
