BASKETBALL BOYS BASKETBALL With one starter left from last year's power- ful team, the young Bulldogs gained much ex- perience this year. Throughout the season, they ironed out the rough spots, and came on very strong in many of their games. Thev ended the season with 9 win and 9 loss record, very well for a rebuilding year. Always counted on to come through, Ralph Turner, the only starter left from the State Tourney team, was once again floor leader; other returning lettermen were Bob Neesam, Sr and Steve Jacobson, Soph. Other seniors on the squad were Bruce Flower and Dale Kamrath; Juniors, Dale Pomplun, Greg Satina, Steve Neesam, Charlie Becker, Darcy Kuhn and Rick Roundy, and Sophomore Buck'' Tim Bortz. The hustling young Bulldogs never gave up, improving more and more as the season wore on, Coach Hammond cdn be proud of their efforts. TRACK The 1974-75 Bulldog Track team, directed by Coach Mulrooney, finished 5th in the Confer- ence Meet and 2nd in the Bulldog Invitational. Besides being a good year for setting school records, it was the first year the Bulldogs used the new track. Stuart Van Swol set 3 school records, high and low hurdles and the long jump. He also made it to the State Meet for high hurdles. Randy Welk set a school record in the 2-mile run, Jeff Haynes set one in the pole vaulting; Dan Pulver set records in the shot put and disc The 880 relay team set a school and confer- ence record. The team consisted of Tom Dal- ton, leff Haynes, Pat Standiford and Bruce Kartman. It was a very exciting and rewarding year They look forward to another good year es- pecially for Stuart Van Swol, Dan Pulver and Pat Standiford.
