BADGER BOYS—Kurt Dickinson, Chuck Miller. BADGER GIRL—Mary Ann Hayes. FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS Olavio Albuquerque, better known as Piva, was Pardeeville's first foreign exchange stu- dent. He was 17 years of age, and had a fam- ily consisting of four brothers and one sister. Piva, originally from Brazil, (where it is warm and sunny), enjoyed the snow, which was something he had never touched before. He was here for 3 months on his summer va- cation, and will be in his senior year of school when he returns home. Piva's home away from home was with Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Dungan and family. He came to the United States with 250 other Brazilian young people also attending schools. The ex- change of homes and schools was through In- ternational Fellowship Incorporated of New York. To our pleasant surprise, Ruy Pereira de Queiroz, Piva's best friend came to stay in Pardeeville until Piva returned home. Ruy made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wopat and was sponsored by the same or- ganization as Piva. D.A.R. AWARD: Scott Seely D.A.R. AWARD: Anne Sheeks BETTY CROCKER AWARD: Deb Brant 25
