Wisconsin We are older . . . we now look at life with doubts and questions. We will never forget the heritage left by our parents and grandparents. In 1903-04, Pardeeville built its first high school. It was a frame structure of two stories. Both elementary and high school were held in this building. As the school grew, new courses were added and the attic and basement were utilized as classrooms. In 1923, a brick building of two stories was erected and the high school moved into this building. On April 12, 1950, a disastrous blaze destroyed the building. For a year and a half classes were held in the City Library, Legion Hall, and the Frederick Building. 4 FROM YOUR FRIENDS AT BORDEN'S Milk. Ice Cream, Cheese Food Products In January, 1952, they moved into the new building, built on the site of the old school. The gym was finished later that year. In 1956, an addition to the high school was constructed. At the same time, seventh, eighth, and kindergarten rooms were built. In 1959-60, shower rooms, elementary rooms, and an addi- tional heating plant were added. In 1965, plans were made for a new elemen- tary building. The old grade schools are to be torn down and the remaining building will be remodeled for the high school. More extensive facilities will be offered with the addition of six rooms. The bonfire was followed by a snake dance which went downtown to the pep rally. School spirit was really high! The parade started Friday afternoon with many beautiful floats and tension mounted even more. The King and Queen and the Homecoming representatives rode in shiny convertibles. The game that evening proved to be an exciting one. Pardeeville trounced Rio 18 to 6. At the half, the court was introduced. The Senior representatives were Bud Lawrence and Karen Pulver. John Cross and Susie Utke rep- resented the Juniors. The Sophomores were represented by Kurt Herreman and Jeanne Becker. The Freshman representatives were Jim Cross and Joan Jerome. Then Queen Bonnie Atkinson presented the football to King Lynn Lytle. Climaxing the festivities was the dance with the theme Star Light, Stars Bright. Music was furnished by the Nomads. All the activities blended together made a great success of the 1964 Homecoming. Bulldogs Tied for Third A Team In the first game of the 1964 football season, the Pardeeville Bulldogs were handed their first defeat in 24 games. The strong North Fond du Lac team turned out to be a better team than anticipated by some of the Pardeeville players. The final score was 13-0. Gene Loomis was sidelined in the third quarter with a broken wrist. In the first league game for the Bulldogs, they were handed another defeat by the Mark- esan Hornets. The Bulldogs were downed by only one touchdown at the end of the first half. They came back in the third quarter and put on a very good show, but it wasn't enough to score a touchdown. In the final quarter, the Hornets put a cap on the game with another touchdown. The Bulldogs were defeated for the third straight time when Princeton scored a 13-0 vic- tory in the second league game. The game was played on a rain-soaked field. Gary Wolf was sidelined after this game with a broken leg. The first victory for the Pardeeville Bulldogs came when they scored an 18-6 victory against the Fall River Pirates.
