Old man winter made his bid for tame in the 1957-58 season, even though he succeeded with fre- quent blizzards and bitter cold, he was no more successful than Pardeeville High School, which came forth with many notable achievements. The season got under way with the presentation of our one-act play. This year's play was The Flower Shop. We thought the play was the funniest yet. Unfortunately, we received a B rating and did not go on. Basketball season started, showing the boys a little rusty. But, with a little hard practice, they soon shaped up and started to play ball. They fought many a hard game. As the Christmas season approached, the school became alive with the hustle and bustle of typical yuletide spirit. This year's Christmas program was enjoyed by all and considered a huge success. The annual Christmas party was held on the afternoon of December 20. We had loads of fun sing- ing, dancing, exchanging gifts, and eating. Then, of course, we had a whole two weeks left for doing what we wanted. Too soon, however, we had to return to school on January 6 and settle down to our school routine. Before long our G.A.A. activities began in full swing. With a sigh of relief, semester exams came and went. For some the results were better than ex- pected; but for others... Yes, Pardeeville had many notable achievements to report during the long, cold winter. 16 Page Sponsored By J. C. JAMIESON SON CO.
