Rodney McConochle Page Sponsored By WARNKE'S GROCERY Meats, Groceries, Poultry, Eggs Phone 43 (Mass Prophecy Here it is 1959. The time certainly has gone swiftly. Wonder what all my classmates are doing now? Guess I 11 look through ray gigantic atomic minded telescope and see where they are. I see a sign down in Pardeeville. It has a beautiful scene painted on it, and below the scene is printed, Bob and Helen s Art Studio--anything painted, posed, or colored while you wait. We do everything from road signs to portraits and Christmas cards. I always thought that would be Helen s fate I Must focus this lens a little. Who is that blonde secretary sitting on her boss s lap in the White House. Why it s none other than Irene Breneman-- one of our more quiet classmates. Oh, look at the cute bakery in Portage. Arlene Bortz is waiting on the customers. Her husband just took a cake out of the oven and look at those six kids—one just put frosting all over the dog. Let’s look over Wyocena way. Here we see the post office occupied by Mr. Robert Bortz and his wife, Priscilla. It seems there is a new law that says you can will your Job to your son-in-law, so that accounts for his Job. There’s Betty Brandsma, the glamour girl of our class. She has settled down to Cook. That’s sort of a surprise, with her beautiful smile, I picked the movieTTor her. Why, there 8 Norman (Put something in the pot, boy) Cummings. He has invented a new milking machine that enables you to set the time you want it to start. It milks the cow, turns itself off and moves on to the next one] Can’t see very well, must adjust this telescope just a little. Ah yes, there’s a sign Best Hamburgers in Town —inside I see Donna Edwards and Bob hustling around. As long as I’m looking at Los Angeles, guess I’ll take a look at Hollywood. Well gee whiz, there’s Lois Ann Edwards. She’s working for Roy Rogers—putting a Toni in Trigger’s mane. Guess I’ll swing this around and see if I can find some more of my class- mates. Looks like a motorboat race—well, what do you know—there’s Walter Ehlert coming in last with his home-made washing machine motorboat. Y onder if I can see Africa. Sure thing, there’s Marilyn Gorsuch playing with two large pythons. Guess she got too much African sun. I’ll look around Wisconsin again. I see Jerry Gest, he’s married and settled down. Look, he’s eating the holes in the doughnuts to save space in the box. Well, look at that big courthouse in Wyocena] Dean Hawley is the Justice of Peace. He isn’t doing so well, and Shirley has to take in washings to support their triplets. I hear Duane Howe is on the radio now. I can see Station NUTZ and there’s Duane taking the part of The Shadow. His laugh really proved to be profitable. There’s a morgue and It looks like, why yes, it is Kathleen Kearns. Guess she finished her nurses training and is now assisting Barbara Thurston in the Mortician Business. Right next door, there is a new Butcher Shop] George Killoran Is running It; I’m certainly going to keep my dogs and cats home. H’mm, who’s that cowboy walking down the street--the girls are all screaming Oh, Ronnie —it’ s ray old classmate Ronald Kluth. Guess I’ll take a squint at Montello. I see a new sign, Lytle and Murray Dancing Studios. Seems to me someone told me that Gordon Is a profes- sional now. The sign says they’ll teach anyone and anything to dance in six easy lessons. There’s a yellow convertible, it Just went through an arterial, A squad car Is stopped near the side of the road, but it hasn’t started after the convertible. It’s State Police Officer, Jerry Lytle—he’s fast asleep. Page Sponsored By PARDEEVILLE OIL CO. Skelly Products 15 Hass Prophecy There goee a Yellow Truck. Byron Stancer Is now head of that line. That experience with the farm truck really helped. Wonder what else I can see around Pardeevllle. The All Amerloan Score- board Company hae been converted Into a peanut factory, and gues6 who Is putting the salt on the peanuts—It's Dale Spicer. There 8 the Funeral Parlor again. Can t quite see the name, but Barbara Thurston and her husband are the proprietors. Have to get this long range view out again. Yep, there s Harlan Wendllck on Wall Street. He Invested in stocks and made good. He always said that he would never have to work. There's Yale and look, Professor, Jack Scharf Is In the lab. working on a new molecular theory. I heard that he had a lot of chances to get on the A-Bomb Research Board, but his wife runs his life now. Over Beaver Dam way, I see Dick Peterson. He is married, and he and his wife are located in the Gobeli Cheese Factory. Who is that woman going into the store? It 6 farmerette Margie Heaps with a crate of eggs. Guess she didn't teach very long. What is that? Why it's the Barnum and Bally Circus train. There's Merwyn Smith on top of the locomotive—well of all things, he's playing his tubal I, Lois Bernander better put this telescope away and get to the washing. With twins, It keeps one busy, you know. OEORGB PAYNE Service with a smile! That's what we have been receiving now for the past twenty-two years. He has watched the students, teachers, and principals come and go from Pardee High and Grade school. Mr. Payne has witnessed many changes during the years of service here.
