In addition to the mandatory two years of American History, many semester electives have been added to the curriculum, supervised by Mr. Louis Lanzalotto, chairper¬ son. Electives now include: Psychology I and II, Philosophy, Economics, Political Science, World Govern¬ ment, Sociology, and the American Legal System. During the course of the year, field trips are taken to Washington, D. C., Boston, and the Stock Market. These activities are funded by the Board of Education. Previewing films, research work, and discussions take place in the Social Studies Research Center. Media Center ... Library of Legends Ms. Elizabeth Levy Librarian in Charge Mrs Patricia Miani Library Clerk Librarian in charge, Mrs. Elizabeth Levy, ably assisted by members of her staff, was always willing to assist stu¬ dents with their projects and assignments in the Paramus High School Media Center. In this Center, there is a variety of magazines, books, tapes, and films available. To control the flow of materials, however, a newly-devised electronic security system was installed. Every fall, an orientation program is offered to all in-coming freshmen to acquaint them with the various areas and services to be found in the Media Center.
