Our Superintendents ... Guides to All Realms Mr. Paul A. Shelly Superintendent of Schools Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Paul A. Shelly, is most instrumental in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive educational program which at¬ tempts to develop the full potential of each in¬ dividual student. His extensive responsibilities in¬ clude such duties as advising the Board of Educa¬ tion on the need for new or revised policies, prepar¬ ing the annual operating budget recommendations, implementing the approved budget, and overseeing the efficient operation of the entire Paramus Public School System. Deputy Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Harry A. Galinsky, assists Mr. Shelly in coordinating and directing the supervision of the Paramus School system. In conjunction with the Director of Person¬ nel, Dr. Galinsky organizes and controls the selec¬ tion, placement, development, and evaluation of all school professional staff. In addition, as Deputy Superintendent, he is responsible for maintaining the standards of the instructional program, oversee¬ ing the effective utilization of all plant facilities, serv¬ ing on the Board negotiation team, and performing many other important duties necessary to the management of this community’s school system.
