Kings of the Camera ... One of the most pleasant sounding words in the English language is the word friend. Of native origin, this word friend conjures up or brings to mind such warm associations as good times, happy faces, and fond memories. Among these treasured recollections will always be our days at Paramus High School, especially our senior year. Who can ever forget having his or her picture taken for the yearbook? To single out the two people most responsible for supplying us with these moments to remember is not a difficult task. Our photographers, Mr. Leonard Dian and Mr. Victor Tampone, affectionately known as Lenny and Vic, richly deserve the credit. Mr. Dian, as president of the Dian Studios, possesses that rare charm and highly technical ability of a real artist. Musician, humanitarian, and photographer, Mr. Dian is a friend of the first water — indeed a diamond — to P.H.S. Long May They Live! His co-owner and worker, Mr. Victor Tampone, is the personification of patience. Most students are not aware of the fact that they were being photographed by a man who has been associated with Vogue Magazine and who has taken pictures of many famous people. Mr. Tampone is our own celebrity. He takes great pride in his work and his devotion to detail has produced peerless results. It is with the utmost pride and pleasure that we of the Delphian Staff wish to dedicate this 1972 Edition of the Yearbook, in friendship, to two of our most loyal friends, Lenny and Vic. 5
