Crystal Gazers ' Gazette WOMENS ROLLER DERBY The Roller Derby’s first race for women was between the Wild Cats and the Satans. Gail Lischke scored highest for the Wild Cats and Madeline Marzell for the winning team, the Satans. WOMAN PRESIDENT The 1965 elections for President of the United States have just ended with the closest margin ever known. Mr. David Boses lost by one vote. The new President is the first woman to hold this office, Lucy Calabrese. Miss Calabrese succeeded mostly with the aid of her campaign manager, Jacqueline Herman. The Vice President is George Vlasits. Mr. Vlasits did not run for President because he was afraid of a heart attack. MAYOR GALDA The new Mayor of Paramus is Mr. Dwight Galda. Mr. Galda’s father was mayor about 10 years ago. I must say politics does run in the family. Cole and Lancaster Complete Rocket Ship Scientists, David Cole and John Lancaster, have finally built a rocket ship that will go to Mars. These brave aviators, Perry Dabinett, Clare Webb and Thomas Healey are going to take this dangerous trip. WEBB AND MENSINK BEST Hollywood is presenting their 1965 Oscars once again for another great year of movies well done. Best actor Best Actress Best supporting actor ....
