Where are they from? Are they boys or girls? ln a matter of days, THEY become Bruno Faroldi of Milan, ltaly, and AnaMaria Schmid of Bogota, Colombia. Individuals with keen minds and cheery personalities, they are soon contributing factors in twelfth grade classes, campus clubs, and the Senior Class itself. Their viewpoints, fresh and sincere, are heard with interest by community and campus leaders. ln December, AnaMaria, a talented linguist, proves invaluable as an interpreter when Paramount plays host to Sergio and Jorge Blancarte of Gua- save, Mexico. The brothers, here on a happy holiday as guests of Rotary's Foreign Exchange Program, enjoy a packed fortnight, while Pirate juniors, linda Menard and Marion Slater, revel in Latin hospitality, hosted by Guasave Rotarians. As a climax to this year, dedicated to international friendship, Edith Taylor, Pirate junior, is excitedly preparing to visit Belgium this summer, Paramount's first envoy of goodwill! Conscious of the wealth of understanding gained by us, determined not to lose the friendships which will extend half way round the earth, and grateful for a chance to work toward an enduring peace, we dedicate this yearbook to the world's finest ambassador, THE FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT.
