MRS, VITA BIRNBERG, M.A. University of Minnesota Senior Counselor MRS. LUCILLE PEPPLER, B.E. Northern Illinois University Junior Counselor A well-balanced, attentive, informed, and sympathetic coun- seling staff does much to insure the success of a year for the school as a whole and for the individual Pirate, Paramount is fortunate, for the four who hear each day's pressing prob- lems possess humor, experience, iudgment, and values. They justify the faith of the upset or disgruntled boy or girl who comes willingly or unwillingly to seek their counsel. On them falls the burden of preventing drop-outs, so fatal to the futures of impatient or discouraged Pirates. lt is they who suggest vocations, trades, or professions, based on a stu- dents potential ln addition they work out routines for adlusting class size suggest alternate courses administer tests and keep accurate and up to date records of student progress all that each Pirate may leave this campus as well equipped as his attributes permit Day by day and even more so as years go by Pirates realize the vital role these men and women play in their educational careers A for them they find the frequent letters of appreciation and the fine follow up reports from universities ample rewards for time and effort moot I e ay MR RICHARD B CALDWELL MA University of California at Santa Barbara Long Beach State College Sophomore Counselor MR JOHN VITO MARTUCCI ME University of Pittsburgh Sophomore Counselor 7?
