in performance ot duty Paramount's Cadet Corps, commanded by Commandant Robert Broyles, can present with pride a record of digni- fied service to its school. Its members raised and lowered official flags daily, served as a color guard at games, assemblies, and special presentations, conducted a much needed patrol during football season, and represented Pirates in the Compton and Paramount parades. Super- vised trips took them to the rifle range in October and April as well as Camp Pendleton in the spring. Four ca- dets, Richard Baker, Roger Freed, John Ophein, Ray Grout, were privileged to go to a rifle match held at Barston, May 9-10, for skilled marksmen. Such responsibility and training stands Pirates in good stead when they enter the armed services of their country. of-5 Row One: Second Lieutenant Richard Baker, Master Sergeant James Mills Corporal Arvln Uhrich Master Sergeant Charles Norcross. Row Two: Captain Sammy Campos First Lieutenant Renry Revelez Second Lieutenant David Hurt, Master Sergeant Ted Fleming Captain Robert Broyles
