LOREN FRYER Commissioner of Control Policy I jlltlakers This year's Student Council, with Bob DeVries be- hind the gavel cmd Mr. Russell Ball as director of student activities, started fall activities off with the lcebreakers' Ball. Next came the traditional Homecoming Dance, which was climaxed by the coronation of Queen Marilyn. School spirit mount- ed through inter-class yell competition, leaving the seniors proud winners of the Kool Stool. Even greater excitement was kindled by inter-class bas- ketball games in which the sophomores emerged victors. Good entertainment was enioyed at well planned exchange assemblies. Despite a busy schedule there was even time for professional talent, which included a magician, the world's champion typist, and a recording band and its vocalists. Student Government sponsored, in addi- tion, three successful drives: Red Cross, Polio, and a Cancer Campaign. Hardwork and leadership were evident in a successful campus clean-up and the well run election of next year's song and yell leaders.
