TEN COMMANDMENTS OF THE EXPERT DRIVER I. Never start out with a car unless it is in satisfactory mechanical condition. Check the instrument panel and test brakes before proceeding into traffic. II. Under no circumstances drive over 55 miles per hour. Ill. Obey all posted traffic rules and regulations. IV. Never drive too close to the car ahead, and after passing a car never cut back until you can see the car in the rear-view mirror. V. Never fail to signal turnsand stops. M VI. Never attempt to make a left turn until after you have reached the- center of the intersection, given the proper signal, and on-coming traffic has either stopped or is at a safe distance. ' ' Vll. Yield the right-of-way, rather than create a dangerous situation. Vlll. Automatically make allowances for actions of all pedestrians and aged and youth- ful drivers. ' V ' - IX. When driving the inside lanes your left fenders mustnever be less than 12 inches from the line, and automatically adiust your speed and movements to conform to road and traffic conditions. ' ' . X.
