SIGMA RHO ALPHA, Spanish and l.atin Club members, have happily combined many of their year's activities. Together they explored and lunched in historic Olvera Street, drove to Padua Hills to enioy the traditional las Posadas at Christ- mas, and attended fine performances of The Ten Commandments and the lovely Ramona Pageant. Officers of the Spanish section were: Doug Day, Bill Bolton, presidents, Pat Bolton, vice president, Stephanie Butler, Patsy Moore, secretaries, Bob DeVries, Ramona Mageno, treasurers, Mrs. Virginia Nelson, sponsor. Officers ruling the Romans have been: Karen lay, Don Warner, presidents, Dorothy Conklin, Sherry Johnson, vice presidents, Barbara Clark, Darlene Bill, secretaries, Dennis Mesenhimer, Tom Harlan, treasurers, Mrs, Esther Ericson, sponsor. Row One: Fred Bieseker, John Taylor, Jerry Hombs, James Hombs, John McGuire, Wesley Zwiefel, Bob Ralston. Row Two: Myrna Gurley, Pat Houser, Marie Cunningham, Jolene Brown, Dixie Hughes, Joyce Reinhard, Jan Seal. Row Three: Judy Harvey, Judy Reites, Sheree Fox, Carole Mac Lean, Mike Cassity, Bruce Davis, Clyde Pearce, Steve Foster, Roy Bohn, Tom Peterson, Lupe Mageno, Sponsor Mr. Edwin Groh. i I DOMINOES drama club and the oldest club on campus, has been reorganized under the guidance of Mr. Edwin Groh, sponsor. Its membership is made up of Pirates who have either made a public appearance in a campus production or worked on one. A total of three plays have been presented to the public this year, these were: Silent Night , The Caine Mutiny , and l2 Angry Women , the latter two given in May. The casts boasted such finished per- formers as: James Hombs, Marie Cunningham, Fred Biesecker and Dixie Hughes. ll3

Row One Penny Worley Shenll Oliver Gloria Potocki, Carol: Moser, Maureen Malone, Sponsor Miss Marcene Noonan. Row Two Wayne Deming Jim Smotherman, Henry Tromp, Dave Kurt, Chuck Holland, Gilbert Mclntyre, Mickey Morton, BOWLING CLUB, one of the clubs organized on campus this spring got off in full swing. Sponsored by Miss Marcene Noonan, the cIub's newly installed officers were: Chuck Holland, president, Gloria Potocki, secretary, and Penny Worley, treasurer. Teams were selected, and the club played weekly at the Lakewood Bowl. A trophy, presented to the school, will carry the name of each winning team. Individual trophies were presented by the club to outstanding players among whom were: Bob Ordway, Carole Moser, Wesley Zwiefel and Chuck Holland. INDUSTRIAL ART CLUB was a group reorganized in place of a club of drafting students which existed for the past three years. It purposed to offer industrial and vocational experience. Spon- sored by Mr. Dwight Knox, Mr. Richard Orcutt, and Mr. Francis Zanitsch, it included outstanding shop students. Each month a Pirate was selected from each shop course as eligible to ioin. Chairman for the fellows was Stephen Foster. The club sponsored the Industrial Award Show, May 29-31 and enioyed a field trip to the Sportsman Show.
