H c-cent- gclzu-ate the foaitiuev Promoting the welfare of the school by helping to form and carry out policies of particular interest to girls is the Girls' Council whose membership includes representatives from bulging Viking homerooms. Totaling 79, these popular coeds acted as hostesses Oct. 20, at the P. T. A. sponsored Back-to-School Night. April 26 found the Girls' Council encouraging all the student body coeds to sport gay perlcy bows. P. H. S. fellas and gals, under the direction of the Council, honored Mothers' Day by colorful bouton- nieres. Students, encouraged to discuss campus traditions and regulations, used question boxes in the home- rooms. Their suggestions or criticisms were given thoughtful consideration by the Council. Assisting the advisor, Miss Edith Sanborn, were Presidents Carole Barlow and Sue Waddell, Vice Pres- idents Carol Sorkness and Jackie Sharp, and Secretary- Treasurers Pat MacGregor and Janet Newlun.
