Media Center. serving students During a school year A-V circulates 15,040 pieces oi equipment, photography prints 500 pictures and I.D.'s are given out to 2,600 stu- dents. The Media Center gets busier every year, stated Ms. Shirley Andro, Media Cen- ter director. .Qver 700 classes in the 180 days of school used the library last year. 200 of those classes used the television studio. This year many classes also used the Media Center during class hours. To benefit the student body the library pur- chased half inch V-l-l equipment. They are planning to buy commercially produced video programs for classroom distribution. Mrs. Madeline Parisek, Library Technician, retired this year alter 11 years of senfice to students and teachers in the P.V. District. On Dec. 19, 1980, the staff members of the library gave a retirement party for Mrs. Pari- sek. All teachers were invited to have cake and punch together and bid Mrs. Parisek good-bye. To make things more convenient, Ms. And- ros' office was moved to the center of the Media Center. This way she could be seen and found more easily. She said, I vvant stu- dents and teachers to feel like they can reach me and approach me for help. Also situated in the Media Center is the District Film Library. Mrs. Karen Tunnell dis- tributes films to all schools in our district. Mrs. Tunnell states, Having been a stu- dent in 1960, l enjoy being back here at P.V. in 1980-1 981 Justine Weaver catalogs filmstrips for use by teachers. A '1!
