One of the jobs of Dr. Tom Nightingale is to call and inform parents of students' activities. TO THE GRADUATES . . . Your graduation means - an opening door to opportunity for higher income, to a more enticing range of occupational possi- bilities, to higher education or to industrial on-the-job training. lt means further that your future family life is likely to be happier and gives to you a better understanding of people, their attitudes, events, and culture. Despite these tangibles, your diploma would be a meaningless form if it did not carry out as well your learned value for human life and compassionate regard for your fellow beings. The challenge to the class of 1981 is a great one! Weigh your values carefully. All that has preceded you is not bad. Accept what is good, improve on it, and reject by disassociation, not by destruction, what is bad. No matter how small the task, do it well, and great things, half begun, will crowd your doonivay begging to be done. When you have completed it, be able to say you have made a positive contribution to an imperfect world. Dr. Chris B. Carrino . s. ' -3 ms, Dr. Chris B.
