Over 700 people entered the Caf- etorium on the nights of November 20,21 , 22, to attend the performance of this year's fall production, Cheaper by the Dozen . Director Bob Schwarz said, lt was a success in that it was a mix- ture of comedy as well as drama. lt was easy to follow and overall very interesting. Of the 50 people who tried out, only 26 were chosen. lt was a first performance for many of the cast members. They were a hard work- ing cast and did a good job of inter- preting their characters which helped enhance the play, Mr. Schwarz said. Cheaper by the Dozen is the true life story of the Gilbreth family. The father CJon Simpson!Tim McMillanJ just doesn't understand the ways of teenage girls. His loving efforts to get the family together made the play very down to earth. His schemes to better organize the family added the right touch of humor to the play. The crew was made up largely of actors and advanced drama stu- dents. They had help from the 1980 Tech student of the year, Mark Rem- ington. Joe Scales CGary Samonj is introduced to Mr. Gilbreth CJon Simpsonj by his daughter Ann CCarrie Effingerj. E751 Carrie Eftinger, John Haynes, Paula Smith and Tom McMillian take bows.
