Science Club Science will play a big part in solving the coun- try's problems in the years to come, says Cory Polak, science club president. The club tries to promote interest in science. The club takes trips to different areas that people in the club would be interested in, connected in some way with science. The club this year traveled to Kitt Peak, Collosal Cave and Sunset Crater. With the addition ofa vending machine which is located Cory Polak, Science club president, conducts a regularly scheduled meeting. in the core ot the science department, they raise money to buy equipment that the science depart- ment wouldn't normally be able to get. The science club met every Wednesday in room 405 usually with twenty-five to thirty members present. The club has been around since the beginning of Paradise Valley High School and is still going strong. , -. twat-A. Replacing broken glassware costs the individual students a lot of money, says Klutz Club advisor Mr. Smith. Being in the club gives students a chance to raise money for the broken glassware. The members had a candy sale in the month of March that lasted for two weeks and they had more fund raising activities planned for next year. The club is made up of twenty-eight members enrolled in Advanced Placement Chemistry. 172 skin 46 Alan Ford demonstrates how to become an ofticial member of the Klutz Club.
