At Christmas the German Club went to Phoenix Mountain Nursing Center and sang German Christmas carols to the residents. After that they went tothe Felson l-laus for a Christmas

French Club To meet the requirements for the French Club one must have taken a French course within the last year or been presently enrolled in one this year. This year's club sponsor was Mrs. Mar- ilyn Lenz. The club meetings were held every Tuesday after school. Activities for the Christmas holidays included an eating meeting where the members prepared a variety of French dishes. During the course of the year the mem- bers visited French restaurants such as Cafe' La Serre, Chez Louis and Cat' Casino. The meals were paid for by the money raised from the candy sales they had throughout the year. French Club: Top Ftow: Susie l-lamm, Patty Cabot, Mrs. Lenz, Sponsor, Lori Fiobin- son, Dona Long. Second Flow: Pam Aird, Tina Porter, Jennifer June, Dirk Johnson. Spanish Club Spanish Club was spon- sored by Sr. Leonard Ortega and Ms. Jan Bartoli. The club made use of the language on their annual trip to Mexico. From 23 students I got 100 percent from each individual, said Sr. Ortega. The Spanish Club mem- bers sold candy, cheese, sausage and preserves in an effort to gain enough money to afford a trip to Mazatlan, Mexico, in April. The club learned the cus- toms and culture and used the language they learned. Adventure and Fantasy Gaming Club Spells, wizards, monsters, dragons during medieval timesg these are 'all a part of the adven- ture and fantasy gaming club, says Jim Sprouse, Club president. A populargame in England, Dungeons and Dragons has just made its debut in the United States this past year. Dungeons and Dragons is not an ordinary board game. lt is a fantasy role playing game, played vvith a group of people who create the characters. They then proceed through a castle dovvn to the dungeon Cin their mind and on paperj with the goal to become the richest and most powerful character of the game.
