26 4 When the curtain rose at 7:30 p.m.. nearly every seat was filled and the first Paradise Valley All-School Talent Night had begun. The show, sponsored by Concert Choir, was performed on Nov. 20 in the cafetorium. A variety of acts auditioned on Nov. 6 and 7. One of the high- lights of the show was a comedy skit entitled The Penguin from Monty Python , done by juniors Jon Simpson and Phil Reeves. Other acts included vocal solos by Debby Rosenthal, Kelly Shaw, Maryann Smith, Jamie Gmeiner. John Ford. Laurie Ohlson and Adrienne Arnold. Instrumental solos were performed by Jon Simp- son, guitar, and Peter Amsterdam and Charles Ward, piano. Barb Ittner, Vicki McFarlen, Cindy Foster, Sue Spendley, Lisa Camp- bell. Debby Rosenthal and Pam Berg displayed their dancing tal- ent. A quartet of Pam Carrington, Jamie Gmeiner. Jerry Erven and Jim Erven. a trio of Kay Yeary. Sue Macdonald and Lisa Stype, and a duet of Pam Carrington and Jim Erven also sang in the show. Senior Jamie Gmeiner served as the emcee. To close the evening, the Show Choir danced and sang to the song, 'Tve Got The Music In Me? The proceeds from the Talent Show helped to raise money for the Concert Choir trips to San Diego and Disneyland this Spring. 2,,, .3 2-it s , an--ali l. An original dance to New York.
