Homecoming was a success! Though we lost the football game to Prescott. l7-10, we still showed the spirit and the enthusiasm that rep- resents Homecoming. This year's theme was Night at the Movies. The activities of Homecoming began with dress-up days and events at lunch. The days included Crazy Hat and Sunglasses Day, Baby Day, 50's Day, Western Star Day and Favorite Star Dress-up Day. Lunch events included bubble-blowing contests, baby-bottle drinking, hula-hoop contests, barrelracing and parading of movie stars. Nominations for Royalty were during seniors' Social Studies classes and final elections were Thursday and Friday during the lunch hours. Official announcing of the Royalty was during halftime at the game. Introducing the Royalty came on Friday during the second hour pep assembly. The candidates dressed-up like their favorite characters from the movies. Finally, the climax of Homecoming was reached at the football game that night. The halftime activities began with the musical per- formance of the band and the pom-line dancing to The Wiz. The floats then paraded around the track with the Juniors taking first prize with their version of the Muppet Movie, the Sophomore's Drive- in and the Band's Jaws tied for second place and in a tie for third place was DECA's Concessions and the Freshman's North Dallas Forty. Then the Royalty was announced and the Royal Court took their victory lap around the field. After the game, attendance at the dance was a must to end the fes- tivities. J ff? EF!
