For the first time, advanced English classes are offered in all years. I really enjoy teaching Advanced Junior English. lt is a challenge teaching an advanced class. I enjoy teaching creative and motivative young adults. The rewards are many, said Miss Mary Murphy, Advanced English teacher. New classes added this year are Survey of Literature, for stu- dentsjust out of reading, and World Literature, the study of cul- ture's effects on writings. Many teachers in the department invited guest speakers into the classroom. Robin Armstrong, an alumni of Paradise Valley High, now a professional film-maker, explained how to make a movie in the process of showing his film, Cutting Loosef, A forum program was created this year to enrich and broaden the students' leaming, under the supervision of Mr. Les Leiter.
