The Varsity Badminton Team ended a successful season with an l 1-l record. The first match was Sept. I0 against Greenway. After defeating the team. the girls went on match after match downing their opponents every time. They beat Apollo 5-4, Moon Valley 6-3, and Cortez 7-3. Their one loss was to Sunnyslope 3- 6. In doub Kelly McDonald and Kathy Cosentino were seated fourth and won their f match defeating Moon Valley. Then they lost in the second round. Robyn R cliff and Liza Acuna were seated sixth in doubles but were eliminated by Thi derbird first round. Sandy Sistek went to the State Badminton Tournament a lost in the second round to Chapparal. In the Skyline Divisional tournament Sandy Sistek placed third in singles. it 5 1

The team concluded their season at divisionals where they defeated Greenway. l5-7. I5-6 and were defeated by Apollo. 9-l5. 6-15. ending their sea- Many players received outstanding honors. Angie Bell. senior. was named as second team all league: Rosalyn Clapp. senior. was named as first team all league and second team all divisionals. Shelley Brewer was also named first team all league, first team all division and first team all tournament. The Junior Varsity Volleyball team coached by Miss Angleton concluded their season with a 9 win. three loss position. The Freshman Volleyball team ended their season with a 5-2 record.
