We are the mighty, mighty white, yeah, we are the mighty. mighty red, cheers the I979-l980 cheerline under the supervi- sion of Miss Karen Foisel. The line spent a busy summer, trav- eling all the way to San Diego, California, to attend cheer camp. The line brought home 60 Blue Ribbons, the Spirit Stick and the highest award. the Superior Trophy. Other summer activities included early morning practices, carwashes, bake sales, and selling litterbaskets and pitchers. During school the line participated in and ran the assemblies, sold candybars and spirit ribbons, made good-luck notes and breakthroughs, kidnapped the players, sponsored a clinic for Desert Shadows cheerleaders and danced to Dim all the Lights at the annual pom-cheer switchoff. Being on cheer the past three years has really made high school fun and rewarding. I don't regret one minute of it- not even all the summer carwashes. l'm really going to miss cheer- ing at P.V. next yearf, said Tama Bisbee. senior cheerleader.
