Paradise Valley closed its 17th basketball season with a final record of 2-18. The Trojans first Win was against Camelback in December. Tom Bemrich scored 16 points and Mark Grittner and Ace Fanning each added 10 points to lead PV to a 61-52 romp over the Spartans. Against Thunderbird Chiefs, the Trojans registered their second Win of the year, 54-53. Again it Was Tom Bemrich who led the Trojans in scoring with 15 points and 15 rebounds. jeff Kivett added 12 more points and 13 re- bounds. The Trojans averaged 51 points per game, shot 33 percent from the field and 60 percent from the free throw line. Tom Bemrich was tops among the Trojans in scoring with Greg Clark next in line. Mark Grittner, 14, takes the ball upcourt unguarded. JV Bounces to 5-15 Season Record Starter, jeff St. Germain, 44, at- tempts to pass the ball to another Trojan during the Thunderbird game. Despite their record of 5-15, the JV team showed great improvement and determin- ation. Led by Mr. Irvine in his first year of coaching, the team lost many close games in the final minutes. The top scorers for the year were Ed Horger, sophomore, and jim judge, sophomore. The two co-captians were Lonnie Fanning, junior, and Chris Hahn, junior. jeff St. Germain was the leading rebounder for the season.
