Cheers . . . Chants . . Enthusiasm . Varsity Cheer: Missy I-ljelmstad, IV cheer- leader, looks on in anguish as opponents attempt another basket. Selling stationery, washing cars, prac- ticing long hours, all paid off as Varsity and JV Cheer promoted Trojan Power. With the aid of their sponsor, Mrs. Mary jo Wilcoxson, they were in charge of as- semblies. They adapted many songs for the their skits such as the one they did to Gitarzan, and Santa Claus ls Coming to Town, at Christmas. There were many spirit competitions between the classes such as shouting cheers, eating jello and throwing pies. The winning class with most spirit received a party at the end of the year. Sponsoring the 50's day, cheer did a skit to the song Leader of the Pack at the as- sembly and again at the basketball game. Following the game was the 50's dance.
