The rooms are now carpeted and newly painted in addition to several walls, which were removed, windows, which were put in, so that one can see from room to room. Students appeared to be interested in a new course which was added, called Data Pro- cessing. This course is designed to teach students the use of flow charts, to teach students the use of four new programmable calculators and to let students know what careers are open to them. Another new course added this year is junior High Typing. This is a course for students who have had some typing experience in junior high. The course is slightly acceler- ated over Beginning Typing. Core classes consist of the academic courses, While the task training area is a vocational aspect of the special education program. Here students can explore and pursue career skills and interests in a personalized environment. fig! They discover that the object Bart is holding is a jarro De Espano Uar from Spainj. cakej and French Chateaubriand Cbuttered snailsb. Most Foreign language classes also visit restaurants which have the customs and styles of that particular country. This gives the students a chance to prac- tice their language skills and eat in an interesting restaurant. Other teaching implements include tapes, books, filmstrips and such games as Monopoly, scrabble a and soccer for the German class. The enthusiasm and effort of the students have im- proved the rate of learningg more and more students are becoming aware of the importance of learning a second language.
