Angels Represent State 'wa Susie Seipp gleams with happiness as she admires trophy received at the Apache Junction Parade. . .. . , .. . X.- Q x 1 Q' , S M L 0 9 -A For their outstanding marching ability, the Angel Drill Team was chosen as official Representatives of the Arizona Bicenten- nial Commission to perform in both state and national events during the Bicenten- nial Era. The Drill Team was chosen for other honors when they were asked to perform at half- time for a football game at Scottsdale Com- munity College. They were chosen Best Marching Unit for the South Phoenix Festi- val of Thanksgiving and the Gompers Parade. Participating in the Veteran's Memorial Day Parade, the Angel Drill Team was selected as the Best jr. Marching Unit. There were over 300 Marching Units in the parade from throughout the state, thus proving that the Angels are the Best Marching Unit in Arizona. Having taken top honors in various com- petition, the Angels had a total of over eleven trophies and three plaques. The dedicated Angel Drill Team met at the school every morning at six o'clock for summer practice with the band.
