Babe Ruth, Hot Dogs, Ball Players. The Varsity Baseball Team, coached by Robert Croftcheck, began the season with four returning lettermen. The large number of seniors on the team added experience, good baseball knowledge and maturity. The toughest opponent of the season was Apollo because of their large number of returning lettermen. This year's team proved to be very exciting team to Watch. l feel that we will be the Surprise Team in the Sky Line Division, commented Varsity Coach Robert Croftcheck as a pre-season prediction. Twenty three boys turned out for the Freshman baseball team this year. The team expected the toughest opponent to be Apollo also. Freshman Coach jim Irvine began getting his players in shape by doing different exercises, running on the track and playing practice baseball games.
