In the total point accumulation, PV out- scored their opponents 525 to 177. They also outpinned the opposition by a 43-10 margin. Coach Dennis Van Rockel expects many of his wrestlers to do an excellent job on varsity next year, but some of his sophomore wrestlers will remain on JV to gain more wrestling experi- ence. Outscoring their opponents almost three to one, the freshman grapplers had a perfect 11-0 season. Of their 92 individual match wins, 76 were accomplished by pins. Coach Ted Shantz predicts that in two years when this team is wrestling varsity, that they may very likely capture the state title that just barely eluded this year's varsity team.
