Administration Tackles Problems of Year The administration, working together for their second year, maintained an open-door policy for students and teachers. One of their main objec- tives was to boost school spirit. To attain this, extra time for club meetings was allotted. Also more pep assemblies were scheduled. The staff began plans early for the next school year. When the high school began reaching its full capacity, new ideas were developed in order to escape double or extended sessions. New Outlook for Counseling Department Mrs. Paula Manzer Mr. David Mosow Mr. Melvin Peterson Mr. Don Roth Department Head The counseling department had a new outlook this year with the addition of four new members, including a new department head, Mr. Roth. Their main objective was to make the relationship be- tween student and counselor more personal. To achieve this they went to the students individu- ally. This enabled students to be sure of all gradu- ation and college requirements before second semester. The counselors also put out two publications this year. One was sent to teachers explaining the functions and purposes of the counseling de- partment. Another was a bulletin made up es- pecially forthe graduating seniors.
