Carroll's Cagers Plagued by Injuries. Coach Robert Carroll ended his first season at the helm of P.V. bas- ketball with a record of 4-15. Guid- ing the offense and providing the main scoring punch were seniors Roy Slabaugh and Larry Fleischer, as well as Junior standouts Rick Bar- telt and Dan Lake. Senior John Ures had a number of fine games in which he played an important role. Coach Carroll attributed the ma- jority of the trouble to the vast amount of illness and injury to the squad this season. A plague of bro- ken hands, knee operations, and cases of chicken pox contributed to the fact that the entire team was healthy scarcely two consecutive games.
