Stewart Wiens, Bert Cooper, Greg Jones, Howard Frintner, Glenn Palmer, Bill Barham, Tim Faulkner, Darryl Goodwin, Coach William Hatcher. JV's Determined Against Tough Opposition Much to the surprise of everyone, the Junior Varsity gridders ended the season with a 3-4-1 record. Expect- ed to be one of the most explosive teams in recent years, Coach Hatcher felt the record could easily have been 6-2. Mr. Hatcher commented that much of the difficulty was due to lack of team depth, which, when numerous injuries occurred, proved vital to the team's success. The wins, however, were exciting ones, highlighted by a last minute victory over Flagstaff. Great leadership was displayed by a number of tal- ented Sophomores, including Matt Clark, Jon Pinney, Monty Cole, Doug Homer, and John Latcham. l T K, PV OPPONENT 6 Brophy 42 28 Moon Valley O 0 Glendale 8 20 St. Mary's 20 O Sunnyslope 38 14 Flagstaff 12 6 Cortez 6 6 Marcos De Niza 14 Junior Varsity players watch intently as their teammates battle the opposition while the coach- es study the game plan. 117
