A Loon lNTO THE FUTURE As I was taking my daily ride to Mars in my Space Ship Terra , I happened to get on the wrong beam of light. While I was trying desperately to get back on Beam 53, a cloud of smoke and a noise out of this world passed me like a falling star. Then in a moment the smoke cleared and the Space Ship Chevy was revealed. I saw a little old driver so lively and quick, and knew in a moment it must be Dick. After following Dick to Mars, I stopped him to reminisce about our school days. I asked him if he knew the occupations and whereabouts of the Class of '53. Since he was top Space Cadet of the day, he was well versed in this field. This is what he related to me: Raymond, Henry, and Fred are playing professional football at University of the Milky Way located on Saturn. They had the honor of being chosen All Americans last year. Donna and Sara are leading domestic lives and by all accounts, are kept busy with their families. Nancy models in New York and is engaged to marry Robert Tiller, the famous movie actor. Bill, our sailor, is making the Navy, where he has become the head of the Naval Reserves, his life-time job. judy and Patsy are now teachers at Paradise High School. Judy is the secretarial science teacher and Patsy is head of the mathematics department. Donald has established an American dancing school in Paris. He is teaching the mademoiselles of Paris the Bunny Hop and the Charleston . I Willard is the World's Champion hot rod Racer. He is now making a tour over the universe. julia and- Janice, law partners, just won the most important case in history. The case was Bob Hope vs. Alan Brown. Hope was stealing Alan's jokes so Alan brought suit against Bob. Dale, an established contractor, has rebuilt the White House. The President allowed him to plan and build according to his own judgment. ' Margaret is president of Hubley's Toy Factory where she is directing the production of a gun that shoots ice. During a world series game, john, our umpire, was involved in an argument, but knowing john, you can guess who won the argument. Clara is now in Africa serving as a secretary to the famous evangelist, Billy Graham. Everett, a famous conductor at Carnegie Hall, presented 12 concerts in the past week. Mildred is now happily married to a lawyer and often assists him with some cases, using her knowledge of law obtained at PHS. Elva jean is training to be a nurse, but as a side line she sells greeting cards. Florence is teaching departmentalized 7th and Sth grades. She had previous experience with 8th graders prior to her graduation from Paradise. Pauline and Marian are secretaries to important statesmen in Washington, D. C. Pauline is employed by the Secretary of State and Marian by the Secretary of Defense. Pearl Louise owns a stand at the local market where she sells rare herbs.
