I, Pauline Burkholder, will my A's to William McFalls. I, David Carson, bequeath my French accent to Donald Miller. I, Kathleen Denlinger, leave my place at the piano to Janie Rynier. l, Carl Eberly, will my ability to get along with Miss Fulginiti, to Charles Boettger. , Glenn Eshleman, donate my ability as Business Manager to Clayton Frackman. l, Beulah Feister, bequeath my sweet smile to Grace Cummings. I, Lorraine Feister, will my fair complexion to Patsy Scott. I, William Foulk, transfer my crew hair cut to Gerald Wertz. I, Eunice Hersh, bequeath my wavy hair to Richard Zimmerman. CLASS HISTORY As our high school days are rapidly coming to an end, we look back over those glorious days. The thought of leaving prompts us to reminisce our wonderful days spent there. On September 9, 1946, there were thirty Freshmen, who entered Room F with Mr. Blevins, as our teacher. We were initiated by the Sophomores. Class oliicers for that year were elected as follows: President, Donald Smoker, Vice-President, David Carson, Secretary, Joan Denlingerg and Treasurer, Joyce Moore. The same year we had two new teachers: Miss Fulginiti and Mr. Althouse. The class visited the newspaper plant and Station WLAN in Lancaster. Beginning the Sophomore year on September 8,1947, we were assigned to the Stage as our home- room, with Miss Fulginiti as our teacher. Just to be different, we elected all girls for ofhce in this order: President, Joan Denlingerg Vice-President, Joyce Moore, Secretary, Pauline Burkholderg Treas- urer, Kathleen Denlinger. There were thirty-four pupils in our class, including seven new members from Strasburg. Mr. Blevins took the class to Philadelphia, one day in the spring. During the day, we visited the Zoo, the Franklin Institute, and the Museum of American History. At night, we saw a baseball game at Shibe Park. We had our first class party that year, The Silly Sophomore Serenade. By the time we became Juniors - September 7. 1948 -we were still the smallest class with thirty members, so we remained on the Stage. The class voted for officers and this was the result: President. Glenn Eshleman, Vice-President, Donald Smoker, Secretary, Pauline Burkholderg Treasurer, Kathleen Denlinger. That year we had two class parties: Jolly Junior Jamboree, and Bugs' Bunnys' Busy Night. We ordered and received our class rings, pennants, emblems, and hats. The Junior and Senior play was called Fresh as a Daisy. For our long-awaited Senior year, we were assigned Room C with Miss Fulginiti as homeroom teacher. For class officers, the class voted for the following: President, Glenn Eshlemang Vice-President, David Carson, Secretary, Kathleen Denlinger, and Treasurer, Joyce Moore. There were thirty-two stu- dents in the class, with four new members. Two were from Salisbury and two were from Christiana. The Junior and Senior play for this year was a comedy, The Happier We'Il Be. Miss Friday took the Business Law class to court, to hear a murder case. Mr. Blevins supervised the Problems of Democ- racy class trip to Lancaster to see Industry on Parade. The class held a dance after the last basket- ball game, and also a class party in March, The Senior Finale. Twenty-five
