Being a ( fan of Louis L’amour, I can look at the Gratuf Canyon, the Badlands and Rocky Mountains every year atuf never tire of it. Virginia Cleveland — Wfien I was a little giif 1 dved in Ft. Worth between Beny and Seminary South. Then i-35 was stiff on the chawing 6oarcf. It was caffecf South Pecan and was just a paveef two-lane roacf running from Tt Worth to Cleburne and Burfeson. We played outside from morning till night there — crawdad fished, waded in the creeft, played on creekbanks — games like Tartan, Lone Ranger, etc. I didn’t have a bicycle, there was no pavement for a scooter. Later, when the construction of 1-35 Began, we piayeef in the cufverts that ran under it anef played jacks' on the first, aruf as yet unopened, lane of concrete. On ready hot summer days my dad would take j me to the zoo, or we would ride a 6us downtown to see a movie in the air-conditioned theater.” Susanne Par her — Right after we graduated from U.T., we moved to Houston where Randy and I both got good jobs. At the time, Houston was a 6oom town that was a blast for a young married couple with money to spend and no children. It was the most carefree time of my life. I would like to relive it, hut heat Valley this time. Rohert Lacy — High school years. You’re old enough to have some controf of your own fife, yet there's not much responsibility. It's a carefree time with everything in front of you and lots of fun times.” Johnny Campbell — I enjoyed high schoof — the sport? and good times with our doss. I was especiady sad after graduation and Senior Trip hut when I went to college, I met new friends. The new environment was stimulating, especially those classes where I had no prior knowledge. I had a joh that had tremendous responsibility associated with it and I found it to he veiy challenging. I was getting an education, had a job making good money, and a wonderful girlfriend that Became a wonderful wife.” u
