Superintendent’s Message Many people spend their entire lives searching for lasting happiness. The popularly held belief that money brings happiness couldn’t be further from the truth. True happiness is not something that can be bought or gained through monetary or material possessions. Happiness is defined by Webster as “a state of joy with one’s life.” People who are truly happy are enjoying life one day at a time. They do not dwell on the past but protit from it. They prepare themselves for the future but do not live exclusively for it. Although happy people strive for daily improvement, they are basically contented with what they have and what they are. God has richly blessed each one of us who live in this great nation. Most people in other countries would give everything they have just to be able to enjoy the freedom and the prosperity that we experience daily. May God bless you as you live and enjoy the things that this life has to offer. Dr. Bobby Bain, Superintendent

Foreword i In a highly technological world, it is extremely frustrating to pick up the telephone receiver and discover the phone is dead. Communication has been thwarted. Before learning can occur, there must be communication between the sender of knowledge and the intended receiver. How well we receive the message is revealed by the way we participate in academics, sports, friendships, and other relationships here at school. When we enrolled in school for the first time, we began our search for knowledge regarding this universe and all its exciting mysteries. Surrounded by all the modern methods of communication, such as the media, TV, radio, telephone, etc., there is no excuse for one to be misinformed or uneducated if he has his ears and eyes open to the truth. May we seek to cultivate an open line of communication. Never take it for granted. It turns the impossible into the possible, builds faith where there is doubt, and turns weaknesses into strength. In its truest form, com- munication is the key to success in life. THE ANNUALSTAFF
