Hazel Long, tho only child of a backwoods farmer,is tired of country life but her parents refuse to move to the city, bccauso of a rock quarry they own on their farm. Hazel meets Richard Biltmore, a stranger from the city. They fall desperately in love but to complicate matters the Long's maid falls for Richard, and the fun begins. Richard calls to sec Hazel in informal at- tire to find the family decked out in out-dated formal attire. The neighborhood gossip calls and the evening becomes a scream. Next morning the maid and Richard are miss- ing. Richard returns, howevfer, in time to save the old home and marry Hazel. Minnie marries Dave, and this gives Lizzie and Hank an idea.
