Sharp dressed at PHS The fashions of ’84 became an abstract way of expressing oneself as shoes, tops, and pants were mixed and not always matched. The age-old worry of the right combination became obsolete. Even the music we listened to set a beat for our attire while we danced our way in and out of clothing stores. In the end love conquered all as we sat donned in the latest styles while viewing our favorite soaps. Yvonne Wellman and Dee Dee Watkins fount that cropped sweatshirts with just a little shoulder said “girls just wanna have fun. The soap opera syndrome struck many a heart at PHS as a group of saga-crazed desperadoes glued themselves to the tube for an episode of “The Days of Our Lives.” PHS shoe styles changed from right to left throughout the year as students went footloose down to their toes. Displaying the epitome of fashion not to mention their modeling abilities, Steve Lawson and Wendy Price combined styles for that sharp dressed look. 12 Mini Magazine 1 1

Each day was unique as we created a year of fluorescent days. Spotlights captured sparkling crowns and an exotic dancer. Some of us found our glory on stage, while others preferred to sit back and be entertained.
