Assistant Principal —Athletic Director Paul Knigga Days left numbered none, and suddenly we were on the move. Lockers and rooms were emptied, and only a building remained. The exodus had begun. Wee Itty Bitty In his nightgown Rode the bus home From Chicago town. Magic made moonlight in a starless sky, and a curtain of misty rain was drawn revealing swirls of taffeta and chiffon in a small universe filled with the fragrance of roses. Hopes were tossed into a wishing well, and a golden-haired princess and a fairy tale prince crowned in stardust glided across the floor. otdUqlit qm L R ses’’ a Aj Oj touch inoxqlo On a cloud of fantasy the little people danced for the favor of royalty while an evil Goldfinger sought a golden prize. The rose would soon be wilted, but memories would be forever . . . Somewhere in the distance a clock struck twelve, and Cinderella stepped out of the dream into reality, leaving only a slipper behind. 17 Hesitate at the threshold; catch a memory before you go. Hear again fervent pride ring out as seniors give their battle cry. Face the silence with closed eyes as you remember the sadness of the last dance at your senior prom. Recall the happy weeping for honors achieved and for the crowning of senior royalty. And now the last honor, for only a jacket remains. Listen, is that only the rustle of your graduation gown, or is it an inner door closing on childhood? Now take the step, secure in the knowlege that you will continue your life armed with the memories and experience of four years of happiness. A new school will smile with pride as its first graduates begin their second odyssey. AJfy {jJQAMj tltf! Hotfib 6 XU Pf-fS ------------------- MIKE APPLE F.FA. An Impossible Dream comes true as pigtails change to an elegant hair style, and for one night you are no longer a teenager. As you sway slowly to the music, silver balloons drift, like memories, into a reluctant repose. Timmy Strange says a prayer, and the evening is gilded with laughter.
