The Paoli Sodalitas Latina was established in October 1928. The first chartered club was in 1929. For 25 years, the club has been active. In October, 1948, the organization joined the National junior Classical League and now has one of the largest memberships in Indiana. The club is for the purpose of stimulating an interest in Latin and the colorful background of the Romans. As an inducement to higher grades, a gold key is presented to the highest ranking second year student each year and a sterling silver key to the highest ranking first year student. The Latin Club Highest ranking Romans DON BABCOCK — Sue RADCLIFFE Latin Initiation Among the honored at the banquet was Miss Alene Payton. makes its money by checking wraps at all of the basketball games and sometimes selling booster tags. A great part of the money is spent for an annual gift to the school. The project for several years has been to pay for beautifying the campus with new evergreens. The social highlight is the Spring Banquet, where a big dinner is served by slaves and the guests are in costume. An elaborate program is given.
