ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Panzer ' s intercollegiate program is supervised by this group and their presi- dent, Robert Connellys 1 I WHO ' S WHO IN AMERICAN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES Panzer ' s most outstanding honor is currently awarded to Russell Hunchar, Frank Acocelia, Thomas Rillo, Joseph Sabatini, and Arnold Brown. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA Working with its president, Joseph Johnson, this group aims toward achieving status in the teaching profession. AUDIO-VISUAL CLUB Not only do the members of this group learn to operate projectors, but they prove their orth bv showing films to the various classes. President is Herbert Franke. MARSHALS ' CLUB The Marshals, without whom no one would ever be seated at Panzer ' s social affairs. Frank Aiatullo is president. BIG SISTER CLUB This famed organization of Junior women, witii the aid of President Eileen Jensen, help our freshmen girls get adjusted to life at Panzer. Its active social life is the envy of other groups at the college. TENNIS CLUB This group swung its racquets for the first time, this fall, over at the courts. Presi- dent George Robins and many other Panzerites turned out for this new club. GYiM CLUB Panzer ' s graceful muscle -men trv their mettle in daring feats on the parallel bars, high bars, and flying rings. The group ' s president is Joseph Sabatini. LEADERS CLUB An exceptional teaching group in a teachers ' institution, these students aid the novice in the gymnasium classes. In club, they learn by doing. TTTrfTnTr ' ' nir BOWLING CLUB The pins go down with amazing regularity, over at the alleys, where President Walter Marusyn keeps score. FIELD HOCKEY CLUB Hockey sticks clicked jovously as most of the women students improved their skills after hours out at park ' ' last fall. Alarilyn Chambcrlin Mas president. WOMEN ' S OFFICIALS CLUB Arm waving and whistle blowing take on real meaning when done bv the ref, who is sure to be a member of this group. President is Agatha Scandariato. MEN ' S OFFICIALS CLUB Now in its second year of existence, this group keeps the ball of all sports rolling with its deft handling of games. Theodore Monica has been named president. _  n n - GLEE CLUB The distinguished voices of Panzer, raised in song at many long remembered events, release the spirit of good cheer throughout the year. Tally Talbot is president. FOLK DANCE CLUB Representative of all the gaiety in the world, this group dances its wav into the hearts of its extensive audience. President Thomas AlcFeeley and the group would delight even the native dancers of such countries as Ha aii, Ireland, and England. ' Not merely sports, but sportsmanship . L_ r i iiJjj rf P Athletics FOOTBALL Take note of Panzer ' s last great intercollegiate football team. These men played daunt- lessly, turning in a record unmatched in the annals of sportsmanship. I [ wojMens field hockey Consisting mostly of newcomers, the varsity team has better than duplicated its previous records. Co-captains are Marilyn Chamberlin and Patricia Parkerton. TRACK AND FIELD Coach Leslie Goodwin ' s first track team at Panzer carries on m its fine spirit of competi- tion for which it has become known. H NZf WOMEN ' S BASKETBALL Playing the game of basketball for the game ' s sake, the varsity team, co-captained by Agatha Scan- dariato and Rose Marie Battaglia, upheld the fine tradition of graceful winning and losing. The bright stars of the freshman team, under the coaching of Miss Florence Jakiei, show great potentiality as probable varsity players. V, t ' : SOCCER Co-captains Patrick Digiore, Peter Novak, and the soccer men showed their usual acumen in the 1950 season. BASEBALL Under its new coach, Air. LeRoy Weiss, Panzer ' s baseball team composed a record of 12 wins and 4 losses. Captained by Edward Groh, the club proved to consist of highly skilled players. V. ' . I .
