IN METMOSPECT As we reach another gateway along the road of Ufe, We pause to wonder whether ' twas worth the struggle and the strife, The time, the money, the patience, the endeavor — And we sorrow when we think of the bonds we must sever. But passing thro ' the gateway and looking down the road, We see others approaching, and on their backs a load, Heavy with many problems that weigh upon one ' s mind. But determined to plod onward to success they ' re sure to find. And so we smile when we think how minor those major problems seem. For we are thro ' the gateway and are about to achieve our dream. Yes, we too have had to climb to reach that distant star, But now, within its light, we know we still must travel far! Our purpose now, to guide and serve our worthy fellowman.
