Class Histor In the fell of l952 twenty eight ambitious freshmen began their four years of high school education We elected Mary Donahey as our president, John Scholz, vice president, Delbert Gander, secretary, and Chris Wheeler, treasurer Our sponsor was Mr Derkemler During the year we lost Janeth Vreu e, Iendell Gordon, L rry Miller and Russ ll Seymour, we gained Jim Lyall and Adrienne Deets Wntering our ohhomore year, we felt more accustomed to high school and re lized bett r wh t was exnected of us there we selected as officers Ros elle Cory, president, John Scholz vice president, and M rv Donahey, secre t ry end treasurer Nr Slealaff was our sponsor Between the beginning of our sophomore year and the beginning of our junior year, we lost Patsy wil ley, M rva Jeffries John Scholz, Adrienne Deets, and Jim Lyall Our junior year was prob bly the busiest year that we had experienced up to that time Sh ron Uaden was sho en president Sandy Robert , vice presi dent, and Ro alle Cori, secretary and treasurel The class advisor was Miss Roland We sronsored the hnmecomlnv dance and the junior class play, 'Come Out of Your Coma'H he proceeds from the dance and play went to but successful Junior Senior Baneuet and Prom The theme was UMoonl12ht in Hawaii N During this year we gained Edna Straight and Darrell Guill butlost D rrell before the year was finished In the summer between our Junior and senior years, we lost Carol Shelley and Kathleen Crowder, but added Jean Howard At the beginning of our senior year, twenty one students answered roll call To man ee our class business, we elected Fugene Tam as president, Tom Vandev nter, vice esidentand Delbert Ganden secretary and treasurer Our cl ss supervl ors were r Hamann and Mr Jensen Frank Mains dropped out In checklne ov r the li t, fe find that only five started 1 first gr e and sraduat d from high school tog ther mhey were Fred Eastman, Lindy Wine, Sharon Faden, Carroll Bennink, and Tom Vandevanter Ne enter tained the oeonle of Panora and the surrounding area with our senior class rl y :rich wa liven in the s ring We deci ed th t our class flower would be the chrysanthemum, class color, llvht blue and silver, and class motto, ' e elev1tor is not running take the stairs we bell ve that the services that were rendered to us as a class N111 b ve nothing but atlsf ctory re ults ln the year to come de wish to take ally road judxment the f culty members b v dl layed in guiding us through these D t folr year of blah school edlcet on Tflllflf X X M! jgff' Our Begfnmng Z as 3 Our End Q 1 ' D - ' 1: - ,. . . . .
